Sir,

with this you will Receive a small Parcel of Seeds all I have been able to collect owing to the many interruptions I have had to that pursuit and the much that my time has of necessity been taken up in the endeavour to establish myself in my Farm in the which I have found many difficulties from the want of a small Capital to purchase Stock and enable me to go to the first hand to purchase some of the necessarys of Life. I am sorry to add to this that the State of the Colony is and has been such from the shortness of provisions as to occasion many sufferings and prevent in a great measure my getting forward — indeed I fear Sir that unless your kindness will add one favour more to the many already conferred and be pleased to obtain some Situation for me which joined to my Farm may enable me to provide for my Family some of the necessarys of Life otherwise I see no prospect of future

(Page 2) comfort — nothing Sir but the distress I feel should have induced me to trouble you in this way. I have indeed applied to Governor Thing for a Situation but at that time there was none Vacant — I believe His Excellency to be my Friend but a Situation obtained in England will be of more certainty —

I sincerely hope that you and your Lady enjoy a good State of Health also Mr & Mrs Aupiere. I am Sir with Respect

your Obedient Servant Geo. Suttor
